Email Marketing

I have noticed that a lot of TV advertisers are failing to include their website address in the TV commercials that they are pouring money into, and if they made did this small additon together with an email opt-in form, they would be able to increase their business significantly by building a list of prospective customers.

One unlikely industry however has been making progress before millions of others; the bread industry. A few months ago here in the UK, I started seeing Warburtons commercials asking for viewers’ questions on their website. A simple way of collecting email addresses for marketing purposes without sounding too salesy. A few months later and Kingsmill, a rival bread manufacturer, are asking for viewers’ confessions.

Email lists are still effective despite what you may have heard, but for traditionally offline businesses using online marketing techniques, I think we have a long time yet before it becomes ineffective for internet marketers.
